Now I'm gonna have to put on some ARS and that song will be in my head all day. Thanks a lot Troy.

ARS came a few years later with their re-make ... I always think of the Classics IV whenever I hear it. I remember standing in line at the record store just before Halloween (Spooky huh?) in Vicksburg, Mississippi when the album was released. I was in the 10th grade. Dang! Where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday.

Uh....the Classics are ARS aren't they?
BKB
Technically ... kinda-sorta. I think they became "part" of ARS later on. The Classics IV were from Jacksonville, Florida. Atlanta Rhythm Section did the song 4-5 years later I think ... but it never charted as high as Classics IV. I'll have to look it up ...
Dang! Time flies! Looks like ARS did it 12 years later!
From Wiki ...
"Spooky" was originally an instrumental song performed by saxophonist Mike Sharpe (Shapiro), written by Shapiro and Harry Middlebrooks, Jr., which first charted in 1967 hitting #57 on the US pop charts. Its best known version was created by The Classics IV when guitarist James Cobb and producer Buddy Buie added lyrics centering on a "spooky little girl". In 1968, the vocal version of the song reached #3 in the U.S. (Billboard Hot 100) and #46 in the UK.
Cobb (along with bandmates Robert Nix and Dean Daughtry) later became part of the Atlanta Rhythm Section and re-recorded "Spooky" in 1979. ARS's version hit #17 in the US and #48 in the UK.
Take that you fawn-eatin-son-of-a-bitch. Nice work.
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
Ha ha! Oh yeah! Didn't take long to go off on a Good Hunting tangent! Nice 'yote (AND song) B/S!
For some reason you guys remind of what it's like to try and teach elementary aged students...
Its gonna take me a while to get that silhouette of that gal out of my brain. Has kind of Bond kind of look to it.

Yeah, but not quite as sexy. Didn't most all of the old Bond movie credits start out with an image like this?
I'd rather see a silhouette of Pussy Galore in there.
Here ya' go ...
