    44 years....

... of wedded bliss (well, wedded something anyway) on Friday. We're heading over to the west coast (Tofino) this morning for a couple days of beach walking, cocktail drinking and general goofing off.

Congrats! I'm reaching a measly 17 years on Saturday, but I strive to be in your position in about 27 years!

    Thanks.

Do you ever notice that you have to load up the same amount of 'stuff' whether you are going away for 2 days or two weeks? I think out travel planning list includes one of every thing and two of some.

Oh well, the 'stang is loaded, the sun is shining (for now) and we're off like the proverbial herd of turtles!

I'm sorta like Thump, when it comes to packing to travel....I can have one bag packed in about 5 minutes, whether the trip is 2 days or 2 weeks.

Wifey, on the other hand, takes a week to pack for just an overnight stay....and, that will require 3 big honking bags !!!

She won't wear a tenth of the clothes she takes, but she's just gotta take 'em, just in case the mood strikes her.

I tried to get my wife to agree to a rule about packing: when we get home we make a list of things that she took but didn't touch while we were gone and next time that item stays home.

The result of that rule is now I get to take whatever I can stuff into my carry-on and she fills up two big suitcases.

44 freaking years?!?!?!? That's quite an achievement buddy!

BBP, that was a silly thing to attempt. Don't no woman accept no logic like dat, yo.

44 years?? Dang, I'm barely that old even! Congrats to Bev for putting up with you for so long!

BUT ... that said, thanks for the reminder. We have our 29th coming up in less than a month (6/14). I hadn't even thought about it!

Congrats to you john boy and hope you have a great time on your trip.

Next Friday will be 22 years for my wife and I...and THANKS for reminding me as it has been so crazy here with confirmation and graduation and work and...that I might have forgotten.

Wow, sure a lot of long timers here but I think jb takes the cake! If my math is correct (no common core here) that makes 46 years. Wow again!

Oh yeah, the weekend was great. Typical west coast weather - sun, cloud, rain, clear, wind, calm, fog, repeat. Loved it. Resort is right on the beach in a big bay with rocky headlands on one side and islands on the other. Lots of surf and surfers to watch. Those dudes and dudettes are crazy - that water is COLD! We do Tofino/Ucluelet at least once a year and enjoy it every time.
