While I'm very impressed with the fish, I'm really, really impressed by the 71 degrees. If it was like that more often down there, you'd see me on your doorstep begging to go fishing. I don't do that 85 degrees and up stuff very well.

Very nice Eddie, congrats. I've not tried the crappie this year. I have been spanking the big old bream however this year.

Looks like ol' Ed might be using the "secret" crappie lure.

Hahaha....dang it, Niner, ya'll weren't suppose to see that.

Cap, I smelled two good bream beds, so I hopped in the truck, and headed home to break out my Dad's ole
fly rod....caught some nice bream with it, but none of them what I'd call "12 foot bream"....you know, the
kind that when you squeeze them between your knees to remove the hook, they piss to the other end of
    the 12 foot boat.

Yep the bream beds are smelling to high heaven in my neck of the woods too. Makes finding them a little easier! ;-)

I just wish I had a place to fish. Everything in my part of the country is leased up. All the ponds and small lakes I grew up fishing are private now. There is a big lake not too far away but I don't own a boat big enough to fish it. It's actually easier to find a place to hunt than it is to fish. I've been buying fish for the last several years. Don't take these things for granted boys, I never thought I'd see this day either

QA, in the past, I've found some nice fishing holes, using this website:

Being born and raised in Florida ... I can't even imagine not being able to find a place to fish. Dang! That would suck.

I'd love to Cap. I've got a son in West Virgina this weekend visiting his girlfriend and that's probably about as close as I'll ever get to the Carolina's, unless I find a twin sister to the Hope diamond in my back yard

The secrets been out for a while boys I was on the river two weekends ago and was working on gettin' skunked! Broke that bad boy out, fishing it on a little jig spinner and caught 5 fish in 5 casts. Finished the day with 20 or so I think.
