Yea there are some dams failing around Columbia. We are all good at the farm. A total of 11 inches there. Such was more water than I thought I'd ever see.
There are a LOT of people hurting in misstate SC.

We did a water "pick up" donation this week at work. They delivered 2 pickup trucks full of water last night and we have another delivery Friday. Lots of devastation I heard...

Two years ago on my South farm we got a freak 11 inch rain, when I went to check it out, the animals were walking to high ground. I remember seeing skunks, possums coons and other things basically walking side by side towards higher ground, probably the most biblical event I ever witnessed .

My dad saw one as well. Thousands swimming across the Ohio River. Said you could've walked across them and and never got your feet wet

Has he ever said what he thought caused it? My uncle said there wasn't any real visible reason he could see that would cause them to all up and move that way.

They could have just been democratic voters, not squirrels at all.

There's several reasons....they can over-populate and their area can no longer support their carrying capacity....or, they run out of food sources....or, their area has been clear-cut, and they have to move out....an older guy and myself witnessed one on the Big Black River, between Vicksburg and Natchez back in 1969....sure am glad I had a witness with me, otherwise the guys at our deer camp would not have believed it.
