It truly is a lot of fun when you catch one of those little finned torpedoes but until that point you are simply on a boat ride with the only things to do are: relax, eat, drink, visit, look at the sights, and make sure you don't run afoul of other salmon fishermen or go too shallow, running the cannonballs aground.
I can't imagine what it would be like hooking into those 30, 40, 50, and 60-lb or bigger brutes in Alaska.
