    HaHa I love Fareed

He just called Trump a 'bullshit artist' on live TV. Surprised he wasn't bleeped. Must not have a seven second delay.

Let's send Trump an invite to join our GH group....he'll fit right in with all the other "bullshit artists" around this place.

For the record, I've looked pretty closely at Johnson and I can agree with much of what he stands for. I've always been pretty much "middle of the road" in my political leanings anyway, but with a STRONG leaning to the right on a couple of issues and STRONG leaning AWAY from the left (more toward "central") on a few more. He pretty much follows my political leanings in that he WAS a Republican when he served as Governor of N.M. If the Libertarian party ever takes hold and becomes a serious party alternative, I could probably fall in line with them. BUT ... they have a LONG way to go and I still feel strongly against throwing my vote away just to "make a point". I feel that's all I'd be doing if I should vote for Johnson as he just does not have the support necessary. Heck, he ran in 2012 and received less than 1% of the popular vote and I don't expect much change this time around unless he draws in a bunch of scattered Bernie supporters to push him to the 1%-2% range. Who knows where the party may stand 20-30 years from now, after all the old fart, staunch Republicans die off? I'm not really sure if there would then be a three-party system, or if the Libertarian Party might replace the Republican Party altogether. Time will tell I suppose.

But back to Johnson, he doesn't stand a chance, but if you simply want to file a "protest vote", that's all you'd be accomplishing by voting for him IMHO. About as effective as the dilberts burning their draft cards in the 60's. They made a statement, but that's all they accomplished (other than possibly landing in court).

Oh, and for the record, Gary Johnson kinda creeps me out for some unknown reason. I have no idea why, but when I watch him, he just seems "creepy" to me. Not that that means anything.

I'm a handsome son-of-a-gun ain't I? Now YOUR'S ... well, it kinda creeps me out also. Where did you find such a fugly avatar? Why don't you show us what you REALLY look like instead of hiding behind that hideous pic you obviously found on the net someplace?

Short of a revolution, how do you expect the Libertarian Party to grow if folks who agree with them don't start voting for them? That's where I am. Our choices since Reagan have sucked and I refuse to hold my nose and vote for either one of them any more. Change, real change and not the "hopey-changey" kind", happens one vote at a time. If that means four years of Hilary because Republicans couldn't find the cheeks of their ass with either hand, may mean true change will happen sooner.

CD, as I said above, I don't believe that has a snowball's chance in Hell of happening until the OLD, super entrenched Republicans die off. I believe the younger "replacements" will start filling in the vacuum left behind, but will lean more toward the Libertarian views. Again, that's JMHO and time will tell. For now ... in THIS time and age ... I don't see the party advancing appreciably. Now if a GOOD Libertarian candidate entered the field with the proper financial backing and campaigned with even half the energy of Trump, we might have something. Until that happens (and it hasn't even come close with Johnson), I STILL feel you're throwing your vote away. Nobody knows who Gary Johnson is, even though this isn't his first rodeo. He's not putting any more effort into this campaign than he did in 2012.

Well, Ralph Nader was a 3rd party candidate also.

Lincoln won 156 years ago and he was the LAST 3rd party to win. But, ya' may as well go ahead and write in Abraham Lincoln on your ballot if it makes ya' happy. I'll bet you a BJ from Captain that the election results will be exactly the same.
