    Well Here We Go

As Will Rogers said to Wiley Post.

We are right on the cusp of either a lot of liquid rain or there's a strong possibility we could get a shit ton of ice. It might be in between that, but we don't get that lucky. (No this isn't QA talking)

Either way 4-5 inches of rain won't hurt a thing. Lots of folks to the north of me are gonna get some shitty stuff though. And ice to me is the dead worst kind of bad weather you can get. I'd say I'll take tornados any day but in actuality where I live we get both.

    But I love it here.

Hey, are you saying I'm pessimistic? Just because everything bad always happens to me is no reason to say something like that

Dressed a dozen dandy bluegill this evening. Probably put back 20 more nice bulls and three crappie about 13 1/2". I was supposed to leave at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow to go on a two day icefishing trip. We're on the very northern edge of the projected ice - so I backed out. That said, I plan to fish the next two days rain or mud, $hit or blood. Supposed to be 48 and rain Monday. If we lose our ice again we won't get it back.

32 degrees and raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock right now. I can see ice forming up in the trees that are near the security light. None of the tell tale crack crack. Hoo boy. This could be real bad if it get a degree colder.

Thanks, 31, trees coated with ice but not enough to break limbs yet, at least here where I am. Its stopped raining for now. Hopefully we'll warm up over freezing before the next batch hits.

I imagine power companies will be busy mofos.

Keep an eye open for that rotten ice!

We're supposed to get a taste of it starting pre-dawn tomorrow. I hope it doesn't get too bad as we've got three basketball games scheduled for the weekend. Time to bring in some wood and stock up on brown liquor.

I think I'm going to have to soak some beans and put that bone from the leftover Christmas ham to use in some soup in the crock pot as well.

Looks like it's going to snow again today. WTF! It's not supposed to do that here. Oh well, warming up next week and back to the normal warm and rainy. Can't wait to get rid of all the damm ice!

Cappy, it looks like you'll have a bit of a temperature drop this weekend!

Not really. The temp drop was last weekend when we were in single digits.
We were at 9 degrees monday morning to dang near 80 degrees today. Now THATS a difference.

Not much ice here yet. Tonight is kinda critical. We may slip by. Still, its a night for a fire and a glass of whiskey.

on the iPhone, above the photo, click Edit.
Then click on the crop/rotate button at the bottom.
Then click rotate four times (you're basically just swinging the picture around in a circle).
    Then click Done.
Now when you post it it should be right-side up. No other software needed.
This answer may sound weird--but it updates the orientation info stored in the picture so it will be right side up.

    Or just buy a samsung.

This is the only site that does this to pics. I'll just post my pics elsewhere.

Fishing buddy and his wife are coming over tonight for an "ice party". I got out scallops, shrimp and steak. She says she's wearing her pajamas. If it gets too bad - figure on cooking breakfast, too. I'm headed to their place right now to do a little icefishing.. later.

We absolutely *slayed* 'em.. Must have been turned on ahead of this front. I was using a Jigging Rapala and couldn't get it down the hole fast enough to suit 'em. They (crappies) were coming up 4 feet to meet it. After I burned a bunch of them, the bluegill moved in and even they were knocking hell out of the Rap.. Fun times.
